Self-Publishing with McNally Robinson and our Espresso Book Machine

Our Self-Publishing and Print On Demand services are permanently closed.

After nearly a decade serving writers across Canada, McNally Robinson has made the difficult decision to close our Self-Publishing and Print On Demand services. We are grateful to have worked with many talented writers over the years, and we apologize for the inconvenience this may cause with your future printing projects.

For help making your book into reality, we recommend two Manitoba-based printers:

PrintPro - printprowinnipeg.com

• Recommended for smaller print runs (300 copies or less).
• PrintPro is a second generation family run commercial print facility. They are ready to help self-publishers transform their work from concept to reality. Their singular focus on serving authors who want to produce smaller runs from 15 – 300 copies allows them to customize each project and complete them within 5-7 business days. PrintPro's commitment to continually investing in the latest print and book manufacturing technology allowsthem to produce books of the highest quality. Their in-house design team can help create cover designs as well as page formatting/setup. PrintPro's mission is: Print with a purpose. Excellence in every order. WOW Customer Experience. To start your project, call them at 204-889-3030 (ask for Gaurav Bhatt) or email them at: [email protected]. For more details you may also visit their website.

Friesens Printing - friesens.com/books

• Recommended for larger print runs (over 300 copies).
• Friesens Book Division is a premier book manufacturer with a long history of working with authors and self-publishers to produce high quality books. As an employee-owned corporation, everyone at Friesens is committed to ensuring your experience is as satisfying as the products we produce. Friesens Book Division has a Manitoba-based sales rep (Donovan Bergman) who is available to meet face-to-face as needed and has years of experience working with self-publishers – many of whom have books on the shelves at McNally Robinson. For more information please visit their website or contact Donovan directly at [email protected].

For our current and past clients:

If you were in the midst of working on a project with us prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, you should have been contacted by us. If you have not heard from us yet, please contact our Grant Park bookstore.

If you are a client who has printed with us in the past and would like to print more copies of your book(s), please email us at [email protected]. We will reply with all of the necessary files to have your book(s) printed elsewhere.

If you currently have a contract with us to sell your book(s) in our stores, we are happy to continue doing so under our regular Consignment program. No action is required: your books will remain on our shelves for the time being, and we contact you only as necessary in the normal course of our relationship.
