Manhwa is the Korean term for comics, just as Manga is term Manga describes comics from Japan. With Manga making serious in roads in North America can its Korean counterpart be far behind?

Sherman Alexie, author of Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven, has two projects in the works for Marvel Comics, a mini-series featuring native american X-Man Forge, and a mature readers Daredevil story for Marvel's MAX imprint.

The Independent UK is reporting that the judges of the CILIP Carnegie Medal for children's literature have released a list of the 10 greatest novels for children in celebration of the award's 70th anniversary. The Carnegie Medal is awarded in the U.K. by children's librarians for an outstanding book for children and young people. See the list after the jump.
