Beak Feather & Bone Rpg

- Possible World Games

Trade paperback $20.00
Reader Reward Price: $18.00

Beak, Feather, & Bone is a collaborative worldbuilding tool as well as a competitive map-labeling RPG. Starting with an unlabeled city map, players are assigned community roles before taking turns claiming and describing locations. Players draw from a standard 52-card deck to determine a building's purpose and then describe its beak (reputation), feather (appearance), and bone (interior). As buildings are claimed, a narrative for the town and its inhabitants emerges, including major NPCs and shifting power-dynamics. Inspired by map-making games like Avery Alder's The Quiet Year and archetype-focused RPG systems like Meguey & Vincent Baker's Powered by the ApocalypseBeak, Feather, & Bone is a zine-length game including rules of play, 11 community roles illustrated by Austin Breed, a map by Jonathan Yee, and optional lore & GM tips for running games in a city populated entirely by ravenfolk (or kenku, tengu, etc.). While default play is lightly competitive, rules variants for solo, cooperative, and character-focused play are included as well. Similarly, while the illustrations and GM notes provided will help inspire a ravenfolk city, the beak/feather/bone labeling system can be used with any map, game genre, or populace.

Dating Sim Rpg

- Possible Worlds Game

Trade paperback $20.00
Reader Reward Price: $18.00

Dating.sim is a light-hearted romance roleplaying game inspired by the TV show The Dating Game as well as the “dating simulator” video game genre. Dating simulators are narrative-heavy games where players can date one of multiple eligible characters via choose-your-own-adventure-style conversations. Make the right choices and a character might like you more, make the wrong choices and they might like you less. Dating.sim recreates this structure through competitive roleplaying, with players improvising multiple-choice options for one player to select over the course of a date. In round one of Dating.sim, everyone roleplays different characters and one player (called the Lead) selects a date from a host of suitors (called Dates). In round two, the winning character accompanies the Lead on a date, and all remaining players roleplay the Lead together. The Date player awards points for creativity and behavior, and the player with the most points at the game’s end gets to help finish the story!

Grandpa's Farm Rpg

- Possible Worlds Game

Trade paperback $20.00
Reader Reward Price: $18.00

Grandpa’s Farm is a letter-writing roleplaying game inspired by slow-life video games like Harvest MoonAnimal Crossing, and Stardew Valley. In Grandpa’s Farm, you’ve inherited a long-neglected farmstead and are about to spend the next four years of your life getting it up and running again. Each turn, you’ll draw from a deck a playing cards and interpret card values to determine the progress made on your farm over the course of a single season. With that progress in mind, you’ll then chronicle your revitalization efforts by writing a letter to a loved one. Optional mechanics are also included that allow you to alter your deck by trading or competing at local festivals. Removing cards will make certain kinds of progress more likely, and festivals can be roleplayed alone or with fellow players.

Hounds Rpg

- Possible Worlds Game

Trade paperback $20.00
Reader Reward Price: $18.00

HOUNDs is a dice-stacking roleplaying game about the bond between a mech pilot and their robot companion. HOUND stands for a Human-Operated Utility-Neurolink Device, and authorities want to erase your mech’s memories, deleting your friendship. Escape is unlikely, but you’re determined to resist. Each turn, you’ll overcome obstacles and accrue Stress as a result. Whenever Stress is gained, dice are also added to a tower in the center of your playspace. When that tower of stacked dice falls, your HOUND is damaged and loses a memory in the process. When six memories have been lost, the game ends. Sessions always focus on a single HOUND and pilot, but can be played with any number of participants. This guidebook also includes modifications for playing without a tower if stacking dice is ever an issue.

Scene Thieves Rpg

- Possible Worlds Game

Trade paperback $20.00
Reader Reward Price: $18.00

Scene Thieves is a theatrical roleplaying game where players collaboratively “write” a play while simultaneously choreographing an elaborate heist in the background. During the game’s pre-show, players create a band of thieves who use theatrical performances as cover for their crimes. Players also establish broad strokes for the game’s show before writing down a variety of props on notecards. Then, it’s showtime. In Act I, everyone draws prop cards from a pot and incorporates them into the progression of both the play and the heist. At Intermission, players take note of whether the evening is trending towards comedy or tragedy. In Act II, they have a final chance to reverse their fates before the end of the game.

Single Unique Power Rpg

- Possible Worlds Game

Trade paperback $20.00
Reader Reward Price: $18.00

In Single Unique Power, roll dice and pull words from a pot to create an exciting world and its superpowered inhabitants! Single Unique Power is a 23-page, cast-building, setting-creation game inspired by the “one person, one power” trope popular in superhero media, manga, and anime. Examples include mutations in X-Men, quirks in My Hero Academia, devil fruit powers in One Piece, and nen abilities in Hunter × Hunter. In each of these examples, select characters all have unique, personalized powers. At the end of this game, you’ll have a colorful cast of characters as well as bits and pieces of their backstories. These characters can be enjoyed on their own as you collectively imagine their lives and powers, or you can carry them into future RPGs and stories.

Wishless Rpg

- Possible Worlds Game

Trade paperback $20.00
Reader Reward Price: $18.00

Wishless is a roleplaying game set in a world where, once upon a time, every living person was given three wishes. Players portray wish-seekers called Hunters who’ve already used their wishes and are chasing down Leads on the existence of new and unused ones. Players roll dice in Wishless to overcome obstacles, and situation-relevant skills and wishes increase the odds of their rolls. Players can also intentionally decrease their odds by making plot wagers, assuring certain plot developments regardless of a roll’s success. Wishless requires one player to take on the role of the Secretary, describing the world of the game and the impact Hunters have on it. They don’t need to do any preparation, but should be comfortable improvising story beats based on player suggestions. Wishless can also be played in a single sitting or over multiple game sessions to create a longer, campaign-style story.
