Part Philip K. Dick, part postmodern mystery, Matt Cahillís debut novel The Society of Experience (Wolsak & Wynn) is an inventive, fast-paced story of a manís journey through streets, alleyways and deserted buildings in search of a better tomorrow. It was picked as one of the top must-reads by Harperís Bazaar magazine. Matt has contributed essays to Ryeberg and Torontoist, and his short stories have appeared with Found Press and The Rusty Toque. Raised in Southern Ontario and Alberta, he lives and works in downtown Toronto, where he has a private practice as a psychotherapist. Check out his website.

David Neil Leeís young adult novel The Midnight Games (Wolsak & Wynn) is set in gritty, post-industrial Hamilton and blends the rich horror of H. P. Lovecraft with the pace of a modern mystery. David Lee was born and raised in Mission, BC. Upon receiving his BA in English from UBC, he moved to Toronto where he worked for the jazz magazine Coda and, with his wife, Maureen Cochrane, ran the publishing house Nightwood Editions. He also studied double bass and worked actively in Toronto avant-garde theatre, dance, and multi-media performances, as well as touring internationally and recording with the Bill Smith Ensemble, Leo Smith, and Joe McPhee. He is the author of The Battle of the Five Spot: Ornette Coleman and the New York Jazz Field and Commander Zero. David Lee lives in Hamilton with his family.
