Signing Chocolatour: A Quest for the World’s Best Chocolate until 5:30 pm, just before her special Exploring the Many Flavours of Chocolate event in our Community Classroom: a special evening of chocolate education and a delicious three-course dinner prepared by our own Chef Karen Nielsen, all focused on chocolate.

Doreen Pendgracs has immersed herself in the world of chocolate over the past five years, traveling to more than a dozen countries to date in search of the best chocolate and chocolate events and experiences. In Volume I of Chocolatour, Pendgracs primarily focuses on the best of Europe and the UK, with a glimpse into selected cacao growing regions as well. Volume II expected for release in 2016 will focus on the best of the Americas and the Caribbean. Pendgracs chose to self-publish Chocolatour so that she could choose which photos were used in the book. This vibrantly illustrated book recently received a Bronze Medal in the 2014 International Readers’ Favorite Awards.

Her previous works include Before You Say Yes...A Guide to the Pleasure and Pitfalls of Volunteer Boards, and a co-authorship of the bestselling Manitoba Book of Everything and the first edition of Frommer's Newfoundland & Labrador.
