Sketches of Saskatoon

Share the friendly splendour of Saskatoon! Snapshot mementos are dandy, but something extraordinary happens when everyday sights and scenes are captured through an artist’s eye and hand. Saskatoon native Patricia Katz has painted an artful journey that weaves its way in and around her beloved City of Bridges on the South Saskatchewan River. Sketches of Saskatoon features over 40 candid works in ink and watercolour. They deliver a colourful stroll down memory lane, highlighting the city’s charm and beauty at every turn. This book is a delightful way to share the city’s friendly splendour with family, friends, and colleagues—newcomers and old-timers alike. And you’ll find that Sketches of Saskatoon makes a picture-perfect gift from one of the most beautiful destinations on the Canadian prairies.

The artist will donate a share of the proceeds from each book to Saskatoon charities, making it a gift that keeps on giving.

Pat Katz is a relative newcomer to the world of art. She started studying watercolor painting in 2002. Brush, paint and paper quickly laid claim to her heart; and her sketchbook and paints are now constant companions on her travels. Pat considers herself an Appreciative Adventurer—someone who finds joy and beauty wherever she is and wherever she goes. In art, as in life, she shares the inspiring message that Life Is Good. Her greatest hope is that others feel heartened and uplifted in the company of her work. In 2011, Pat began sharing and marketing her artworks through the Pauseworks Studio.

In her professional life as a conference speaker and seminar leader, Pat helps leaders and organizations boost energy, fuel enthusiasm and inspire insight. She is the bestselling author of five other books and also writes Pause, a weekly online newsletter enjoyed by over 5000 subscribers. Pat holds a Masters in Continuing Education and was recently inducted into the Canadian Speaking Hall of Fame.
