ChiSeries Winnipeg with Andrew Davidson, David Annandale and Sierra Dean

Join us tonight for the first ever ChiSeries Winnipeg event, an evening of readings with local authors Andrew Davidson (The Gargoyle), David Annandale (Gethsemane Hall) and Sierra Dean (The Secret McQueen Series). The event will be hosted by S.M. Beiko (The Lake and the Library).
Readings begin at 7 PM. This event is free to the public with no registration required.
WHAT IS THE 'CHISERIES'?
The Chiaroscuro Reading Series is a Canadian speculative fiction-exclusive reading series, sponsored by ChiZine Publications. It began in Toronto in 2010, and has now spread to include active events in Ottawa, Vancouver, and Winnipeg. It is open to the public and offers readings from authors of science fiction, fantasy, mystery, and horror. We want to provide a casual environment for fans of genre material to discover new authors and meet with old favourites.
We believe that Canadian authors may well prove to be the kind of rejuvenating force necessary to revitalize the “pulp” genres of fantasy, science fiction and horror writing. As Canadian publications including Neo-Opsis, OnSpec, Ideomancer, Challenging Destiny, the long-running Tesseracts collections, and our own ChiZine Publications become increasingly prominent markets for speculative fiction, we want to establish a dialogue between senior and junior authors, between authors and editors, and between authors and readers in order to encourage the growth of this important literary domain.
