Chadwick Ginther -- Book Launch

Thursday Sep 06 2012 8:00 pm, Winnipeg, Grant Park in the Atrium

Launch of Thunder Road (Ravenstone Books).

*** Please note new location - start time remains the same. ***

In a flash, Ted Callanís world exploded. Now heís on the road looking for a fresh start. What he finds is a mysterious young woman named Tilda who tells him heís destined for more than an ordinary life. When three stout men assault Ted in his hotel room, ordinary starts to look very appealing. The next thing he knows, his body is covered in an elaborate Norse tattoo, complete with the power of the Gods.

Accompanied by the trickster Loki and the beguiling Tilda, Ted wants nothing more than to have his old life back. No more tattoos. No more mystic powers. No more smart-ass Gods. The problem is, if he succeeds, it might just be the end of the world.

Author, bookseller and old man yelling at clouds in training, Chadwick Ginther would enjoy Can-Lit so much more if it included even one dragon or robot. His short stories have appeared in On Spec, the premier Canadian magazine of speculative fiction, and Tesseracts Sixteen: Parnassus Unbound from EDGE Science Fiction and Fantasy. The latest, "First They Came for the Pigs", is forthcoming in the Innsmouth Free Press anthology Fungi. Ginther's reviews have appeared in Quill and Quire, Prairie Books NOW and The Winnipeg Review. Thunder Road is his debut urban fantasy novel.
