Eisner Award Nominations Announced
Thursday, Apr 09, 2009 at 2:36pmThe Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards have released the ballot for the 2009 honours. Canadian cousins and have received four nominations for their debut work Skim. Other creators to receive multiple nominations include for Alan's War, for What It Is, and for Swallow Me Whole. Among the most honoured series are Dark Horse's The Umbrella Academy by and ; Vertigo's Fables, written by and art team and ; and Madame Xanadu by and and . Marvel Comics received three nominations for 's reboot of Thor with art by .
A complete list of the nominees can be found here. The winners will be announced Friday July 24th, as part of San Diego International Comic Con.
