Celebrating Our 40th Anniversary
This year marks the 40th anniversary of McNally Robinson Booksellers as well as the 25th anniversary of our Grant Park store in Winnipeg.
To celebrate 40 years of reading, we are passing along extra savings to our Reader Reward Card holders and giving away some fantastic prize packages!
DISCOUNTS
During our anniversary weekend, Friday October 15 to Sunday October 17, 2021, Reader Reward Card holders receive a 25% discount on all regularly priced in-stock books.
This anniversary discount can be claimed in-person at any of our bookstores, including at The Forks in Winnipeg and in Saskatoon; by phone; and here on our website*. It applies to books that are on our shelves during the anniversary weekend. Please see below for all of the details.
As well, on October 15-17 we are selling our two photography books, Winnipeg By Winnipeg and Manitoba By Manitoba, for 40% off to all customers! No Reader Reward Card required.

- Why are we celebrating our anniversary October 15-17? Because October 15, 1996 was the date our Winnipeg Grant Park location officially opened, and October 17, 1998 was the day our Saskatoon store opened!
*NOTE: For online orders, the anniversary discounts will be applied manually after we have received your order. This applies to both the 25% discount for Reader Reward Card holders and the 40% discount on our photography books. During checkout you will see only your regular 10% Reader Reward Card discount applied to your subtotal, but we assure you all eligible books will receive the extra anniversary discount(s) once a bookseller has reviewed your order. We will send your adjusted subtotal in a confirmation email when we have processed your order.
CONTEST
For every purchase made in-store or online during our anniversary weekend, customers will be entered into a draw to win one of several fantastic literary prize packages. The prizes are filled with books and other fun items provided by our publisher partners.
If you shop with us in-store you will be given a ballot at checkout which you will fill out and leave with us in the bookstore. If you shop with us online, you will be automatically entered into a draw. Once our anniversary weekend has concluded we will draw the winners at random and they will be contacted directly about their prizes.

25% Anniversary Discount Details:
- Valid October 15-17, 2021.
- Customers must have a valid Reader Reward Card to be eligible. If you purchase or renew a Reader Reward Card during our anniversary weekend, you will certainly be eligible for the 25% discount.
- Applies to books only.
- Applies only to titles that are in-stock during our anniversary weekend. When placing an online order, please pay close attention to the live stock check feature beside each title. When shopping by phone, the bookseller you speak with will let you know stock availability. The anniversary discount does not apply to pre-orders or any other books that must be specially ordered from a publisher.
- The 25% anniversary discount overrides our regular 10% Reader Reward Card discount for books. The discounts do not stack. Items not eligible for the anniversary discount (ie. non-book items) will receive the regular 10% RRC discount. Items that are already discounted (for example our 20 and 30% off titles) do not receive the anniversary discount but will receive the regular 10% Reader Reward Card discount.
