Western Canada the Landscape

Spanning from the untamed shoreline of British Columbia's west coast, to the majestic peaks of the Rocky Mountain range in Alberta, Western Canada, The Landscape is a collection of iconic images that showcase the diverse landscapes of the two most western provinces in Canada. British Columbia borders the rugged coastline of the Pacific Ocean on the west and is home to incredible fresh water lakes, sun-drenched inland deserts, rolling grasslands and unspoiled rainforests. To the east where British Columbia and Alberta meet, the incredible Rocky Mountain range divides them with subalpine valleys, glacial fed lakes and exposed rock faces. Alberta is home to two of Canada's most popular national parks and vast, rolling prairie grasslands to the east. Western Canada, The Landscape follows Marty Gilbert's debut photography book, The Okanagan Collection which features photos focused on the Okanagan Valley region of British Columbia.
