About this Author
T.E.A.C.H. was established in 1993. It is a peer-bassed program run by Planned Parenthood of Toronto to educate and challenge youth about their attitudes toward gay, lesbian, queer, bisexual, transexual, and transgender people. With limited staff resources, some support from the United Way of Greater Toronto and the Ontario Trillium Foundation, and about 25 tireless volunteers ranging in age from 15 to 23, T.E.A.C.H. conducts presentations and workshops in schools and community centers across the city.
