Kate Baker is a writer and editor of children's books on subjects ranging from history and travel to natural history and mythology. Her books include Highest Mountain, Smallest Star (Winner 2019 UMaine Correll Book Award), Secrets of the Sea (Shortlisted for the 2017 English 4-11 Best Picture Books Award) and Walk This Wild World (Shortlisted for the 2018 English 4-11 Best Picture Books). She divides her time between London, Devon and Spain, and when she's not hunting down weird and wonderful facts for her books, she enjoys exploring country lanes and trips to the beach.
