Under the leadership of Dr. Rose Psychic (and her body-sharing husband, Dr. Occult), Zatanna and her fellow students--including Davit Sargon, June "Enchantress" Moone, and brooding bad boy Sebastian Faust--begin to learn the secrets of harnessing and directing their powers. But these introductory lessons may not be enough to save them from the deadly force known as the Malevolence, whose triumph in the not-too-distant future Dr. Psychic has already foreseen.

About this Author
Alisa Kwitney was an editor at DC Comics/Vertigo and is the Eisner-nominated author of graphic novels, romantic women's fiction and urban fantasy. She was one of the authors of A Flight of Angels, which made YALSA's Top Ten List for Great Graphic Novels for Teens, and the YA graphic novel Token, named a highlight of the Minx imprint by PW. Alisa has an MFA from Columbia University. Her thesis, Till the Fat Lady Sings, a comedy of manners about college and eating disorders, made The New York Times' new and noteworthy in paperback list.
Mike Norton is the creator of the Eisner and Harvey award-winning webcomic, Battlepug and the co-creator and artist of Revival and Grumble. He has worked for Marvel, DC, Image, Archie, Valiant, Dark Horse and just about everybody else. He lives in Chicago with his wife and two cats.
