Description

This book tells of the heartwarming journey of a young Sapling, who with the help from her wise friend, the Big Tree, overcomes her fears to grow into the Tree she is meant to be. Inspiring life lessons accompanied by vivid illustrations combine to encourage a love of Nature within the reader’s family.

Growing up isn’t always easy, especially in today’s fast-paced world of artificial stimulations, distractions, and high levels of competition. Nature is here to help, which is why accompanying the story are dozens of Nature-based activities, mindfulness and energy exercises, daily practices and tips to promote inner balance and a deeper connection with Nature.

Author Jessie Klassen is a farmer, writer, and Reiki Master who lives with her husband Mike and their 3 children, Summer, Shep, and Huckleberry, on her family farm near the peaceful village of Tenby, Manitoba. Having always lived her life deeply connected to Nature, she has been inspired to “share the words Nature wants to have heard” through her books, blogs, and articles on her website.

Illustrator Emily MacDonald grew up on a farm near the town of Minnedosa, Manitoba. She loves the peaceful lifestyle of country living and is grateful to continue to live a life close to Nature on the farm she shares with her partner, Josh. She is also a full-time graphic designer and is able to work on many creative projects with her business, Emanate Creative Services.
