She used to be a film effects artist but now writes silly books for kids and their people. She lives in Berkeley, her hometown, with her family, dogs, cats, and a snake named Boots. Jared Chapman is the author-illustrator of the popular books Vegetables in Underwear and Fruits in Suits, as well as Steve, Raised by Wolves and Pirate, Viking & Scientist.
