Here Clowes mercilessly skewers both the medium of comics and the insular world of the comic book industry. His parodies involve several major figures in comics, from fellow authors at Fantagraphics to Art Spiegelman to Stan Lee. Pussey! is Clowes at his acerbic and incendiary best.

Daniel Clowes (Berkeley) is currently filming his second film with Terry Zwigoff, Art School Confidential, based on a comic from his anthology Twentieth Century Eightball.
