About this Author
Bethan Woollvin is an award-winning children's book creator. Her first picture book, Little Red, won the 2014 Macmillan Prize for Illustration and was named a New York Times Best Illustrated Children's Book of 2016. It was a startlingly confident debut, which she followed with an equally striking and feminist take on Rapunzel, with not a handsome prince in sight. Bethan is also the creator of Hansel and Gretel, I Can Catch a Monster, Three Little Vikings, and Luna and the Sky Dragon, as well as the illustrator of The Button Book written by Sally Nicholls.
The eldest in a family of ten children, Bethan understands well what appeals to a variety of age groups, and all her work exudes a natural dry wit and charm. She graduated from Anglia Ruskin University with a First Class Degree in Illustration in 2015 and now lives in Sheffield, England.
