About this Author
Cat Weldon writes funny middle grade fantasy stories with a particular interest in offbeat fairy tales and world mythology. With a Master's degree in Scriptwriting and a background in children's theatre, Cat now splits her time between writing, teaching and making origami squirrels. Cat lives in East Anglia with her husband, two children and collection of delinquent chickens. How to Be a Hero: Tales from a Terrible Viking is her first novel. Katie Kear is a British illustrator and has been creating artwork for as long as she can remember. She loves creating new worlds and characters, and hopes to spread joy and happiness with her illustrations. Katie is a graduate of University of Gloucestershire, with a First Class BA Hons Illustration Degree. She has worked with numerous clients including: Scholastic UK, Barrington Stoke, Arcturus Publishing, Blooberry Design, and more. Katie is also the illustrator of The Lost Diary of Sami Star written by Karen McCombie, published by Barrington Stoke.
