A day in the life of a dog - told from the dog's point of view! A laugh-out-loud funny tale from the bestselling Peter Bently and Chris Chatterton. Have you ever wondered just what goes on in a dog's head? Now you can find out in this hilarious story in verse! Follow one cheeky little dog as it sniffs, rolls, races and cuddles through a fun-filled day. Written by Roald Dahl Funny Prize Winning author Peter Bently and charmingly illustrated by the bestselling Chris Chatterton, I Am Dog is a fresh and funny look at the day in the life of an adorable mutt.

About this Author

Peter Bently lives in the writer-filled town of Totnes, England, with his wife and a perfect ready-made audience of two young children. He enjoys visiting schools and sharing his writing. Inspired by living close to the sea, Peter's first book for Macmillan was the terrifically toothy The Shark in the Dark. It was followed by Cats Ahoy!, Farmer Clegg's Night Out, and Rich Witch, Poor Witch. Chris Chatterton began his career in graphic design and animation, working on a variety of projects including Dr Who and CBBC's The Dumping Ground. Chris' passion for illustration then led him to pursue a career as a freelance artist working on a number of children's books including Kindergarten Is Cool! and Dino Diggers series. Now writing the stories as well, Chris considers his Gus picture books - This is Gus and Merry Christmas Gus - to be semi-autobiographical as he claims his loveable grumpy dog character is based on his own grumpy moods! Originally from County Durham, Chris now lives and works in Newcastle upon Tyne where he is also a Committee Member for the Society of Authors in the North.
