She is now a well-known campaigner against hunger and poverty in the UK, weekly recipe columnist for The Guardian, and winner of the 2014 Women of the Year Award. In addition to Cooking on a Bootstrap, Jack is author of A Girl Called Jack and A Year in 120 Recipes.
