About this Author
Mo Willems is a number one New York Times bestselling author and illustrator and the inaugural Education Artist-in-Residence at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. He has been awarded three Caldecott Honors from his picture books, and two Theodor Seuss Geisel Medals and five Geisel Honors for his celebrated ELEPHANT & PIGGIE early readers. His debut book, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!, was inducted into the Picture Book Hall of Fame. Mo began his career as a writer and animator on Sesame Street, where he garnered six Emmy Awards. Mo is a proud righty.
Dan Santat is the New York Times bestselling author and illustrator of the Caldecott Award-winning The Adventures of Beekle: The Unimaginary Friend and the National Book Award-winning graphic novel A First Time for Everything. Dan has written and illustrated numerous books for children including After the Fall and The Aquanaut. He has also illustrated such hits as The Secret Society of Aunts & Uncles, written by Jake Gyllenhaal and Greta Caruso, and the Detective Duck series, written by Henry Winkler and Lin Oliver. Dan also created Disney's animated hit The Replacements. He lives in Southern California with his family. Dan is a proud lefty.
