Hedgehog and the Log
Description
Hedgehog loves his new home. But even before he can set foot inside, his house is destroyed. No matter how much he cries, yells, complains, worries, or even feels sorry for himself, Hedgehog is powerless to change the situation. It isn't until he learns to see things differently that Hedgehog turns his obstacle into an opportunity.
With its tender, openhearted text and beautifully rendered illustrations, Hedgehog and the Log is about acceptance, perseverance, and, most of all, hope.

Reviews
"Told in accessible language, this simple tale offers a sound lesson in resilience while never verging on the didactic . . . . An endearing package of encouragement and affirmation." --Kirkus Reviews
"Fong is a dab hand at creating charming tales with strong SEL underpinnings, and this is no exception. Kids will identify with many of Hedgehog's emotions and appreciate his tenacity--not to mention his incredible cuteness. Hedgehog resembles a brownish pom-pom wearing a tool belt, and his forest home is softly rendered and welcoming."--Booklist
