About this Author
Deborah Marcero is the author-illustrator of several books, including In a Jar, Out of a Jar, My Heart Is a Compass, Ursa's Light, and Rosie & Crayon. She is a K-8 educator and a professor at Vermont College of Fine Arts, where she teaches writing for children and young adults. Deborah lives in Duluth, Minnesota. Haylee and Comet is her series for beginning readers.
