About this Author
Julia Donaldson has written some of the world's best-loved children's books, including modern classics The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child, which together have sold over 27.5 million copies worldwide and have been translated into over one hundred languages. Her other picture books include Room on the Broom, The Snail and the Whale, Tyrannosaurus Drip, The Go-Away Bird, Paper Dolls, The Detective Dog, and many more. Julia also writes fiction, poems, plays, and songs. She was the UK's Children's Laureate from 2011-2013 and has been honoured with a CBE for Services to Literature. Julia divides her time between Sussex and Edinburgh.
Kate Pankhurst spends her days illustrating and writing for children. She has a great passion for drawing snails, peculiar people, dogs, monsters, and super sleuth-y girl detectives. Her work has been featured in stories by authors such as Judy Blume, Steve Hartley, and Julia Jarmon.
