LISA MOORE is the author of Alligator, which was shortlisted for the Giller Prize in 2005 and won the Commonwealth Prize in 2006 (best book for the Caribbean and Canada region), as well as two short story collections: Open, a finalist for the 2002 Giller Prize, and Degrees of Nakedness. She lives in St. John's, Newfoundland, with her husband and two children.
