A month before he died, Leonard Cohen had asked his son, Adam, to complete the musical sketches left over from their prior collaboration on 2016's You Want It Darker. Cohen Jr. began working on the material alone in a garage near his father’s old house, later inviting other contributors to be part of the process. They include the likes of Beck, Damien Rice, Feist and more.
