Coolest Cocktails in Town

Keep cool with a variety of specialty cocktails made with the best spirits, liqueurs, fresh juices and garnishes at Prairie Ink this summer. Each of our locations is featuring their own selection of special drinks made with locally-sourced liquors and ingredients.

Raspberry vodka cocktail muddled with basil, served in a martini glass with a sugared rim and topped off with tonic water.
Limoncino on the rocks with white cranberry juice and a little lemon juice.

Dill Pickle Caesar, a twist on the classic Caesar using dill pickle vodka from Last Mountain Distillery, a blend of spices and garnished with a house made pickle.
Frozen Ginger Peach, fresh peach and ginger puree blended with ice, whiskey from Last Mountain Distillery, and amaretto, and garnished with a swirl of grenadine.
Sour Cherry Smash, featuring locally grown sour cherries infused with fresh mint and served over ice with whiskey from Last Mountain Distillery and club soda.
Saskatoon Berry Beer Cocktail, a pint of Crazy Farm beer from Prairie Sun Brewery infused with Saskatoon berry liqueur from Luck Bastard Distillery and amaretto.

Chocolate Fest 2016

We, along with many restaurants across Winnipeg, are celebrating Ciao Magazine's Chocolate Fest this April! Throughout the month, Winnipeg restaurants will be showcasing special menu items — appetizers, desserts, and even drinks infused with chocolate.

In our restaurant we'll be featuring three unique dishes:

Chocolate Mole Chicken 8.00
Two chicken skewers with chocolate mole served with a chocolate balsamic arugula salad.

Chocolate Martini 7.50
Served in a glass rimmed by salted chocolate, glazed with chocolate fudge and Crème de cacao and Kahlua.

Intensely Chocolate 7.50
Chocolate macaron base, chocolate ganache, chocolate mousse, chocolate cake soaked with chocolate syrup.

Springtime at Prairie Ink

Spring is just around the corner, and we'll be celebrating the season with a number of events in our restaurants! Here's what's coming up at Prairie Ink:

St. Patrick's Day (Thursday, March 17th)
Winnipeg & Saskatoon locations

On St. Patrick’s Day, Prairie Ink offers a full mix of Irish foods with a special menu, including including Irish beer and drink specials available all day long.

In Winnipeg, enjoy lamb stew with soda bread and a Guinness Beer cheddar soup. Evening guests can enjoy the lively Celtic music of The Hammers. Saskatoon menu details to come.

Celebrate International Macaron Day (March 20th) with us
Winnipeg location only

Our Winnipeg Chef de Patisserie, Geoffroy Etienne Dextraze, makes the best macarons anywhere. (He is, in fact, presenting at this year’s Research Chefs Association in Denver.) In recognition of Geoffroy’s consummate skills, we are celebrating International Macaron Day March 20 with a macaron flavour-picking contest. Suggest a flavour, any flavour. If you can imagine it, Geoffroy can make it. Leave your suggestions at the Prairie Ink Patisserie. Contest closes end-of-day March 20. The winning flavours will be featured throughout April. The winners themselves receive the following prizes: 1st place a $100 gift card plus 24 macarons; 2nd place 24 macarons; 3rd place 12 macarons. (Sorry, this contest is not available at our Saskatoon location.)

Mother & Child Storytime Tea (Sunday, May 1st)
Winnipeg location only

Dress your best. Bring your mom or grandma, or both, to our annual Storytime Tea Party for a morning of fun and celebration. The tea starts at 9:30 am. Tickets are $23 (plus tax & gratuity) per person and go on sale April 5. Tickets must be purchased in advance at Prairie Ink Restaurant or by calling 204-975-2659.

Teddy Bear Picnic (Sunday, May 1st)
Saskatoon location only

Boys and Girls! Celebrate your teddy bear with us on Sunday May 1. Things get underway at 9:30 am in our Prairie Ink Restaurant with picnic-themed foods, followed by a Teddy Bear craft, Teddy Bear Parade, and of course Teddy Bear stories up in the Hundred Acre Wood. Teddy Bears are mandatory! And you’ll need to bring an adult with you as well. Tickets are $15 per person and go on sale at Prairie Ink mid-March.

Mother's Day (Sunday, May 8th)
In WINNIPEG: Put Prairie Ink on your calendar for Mother’s Day. Our chefs are making plans to help you make your Mother’s Day a special day. Details to follow.

In SASKATOON: Prairie Ink Restaurant is hosting a special buffet filled with all mom’s favourites. Brunch seating will be available from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Diners will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. Regular menu service will not be available during the brunch. Regular service will resume at 2:00 pm.

Please note our special holiday hours and closures this December:

Sunday, December 6th: due to our Breakfast with Santa event (sold out), we will open at noon.
Sunday, December 13th: due to a special event, we will be closing early.

Christmas Eve: open 9 am to 5 pm
Christmas Day: closed
Boxing Day: open 10 am to 6 pm
New Year's Eve: open 9 am to 5 pm
New Year's Day: closed

Otherwise we will have our regular hours of operation.
