Description

When the kindest, purest woman on earth allows herself just one selfish thought it is enough to conceive the most beautiful yet evil woman the world has ever known. From the imaginations of award winning creators Lovern Kindzierski, John Bolton and Todd Klein, is born the dark faery tale trilogy Shame.

About this Author

Lovern Kindzierski is a successful writer, colorist and illustrator based in Winnipeg, Canada. He has been nominated as best colorist for the Eisner Awards, Harvey Awards, and Schuster Awards. As a writer, he has worked on titles including Spiderman, Wolverine, and The Victorian. His writing on Tarzan garnered him a Harvey Award Best Writer nomination. Based in London, England, and described by director Robert Rodriguez as a "God" for his art for Peter Straub's The Green Woman, JohnBolton was seven when he first encountered a paint brush. It was love at first sight, offering him an output to visualize and create what he saw in his mind and put it to paper. Thus began a life- long ambition of creativity all connected by one underlying theme - the interesting and bizarre.

Reviews

"The second book in the Shame trilogy is just astonishing. This is a dark tale that has some moments of empathy and has me wonder is evil inherent, taught, or is there simply existence. With the efforts of Bolton, this makes the story extra vibrant. . . has set my standard for the genre." (Blake Hamilton, Destroy the Cyborg's Best in Comic Books 2013)
"Shame is dark but spellbinding, and the art's gorgeous realism makes the tale compelling and take on a life of its own. This is a grown-up's fairy tale that demands one's attention and to remind people of the need to be good in this world. 5 STARS. BUY THIS." (John K. Kirk, Pop Mythology)
"This book is a pure joy to behold. Every page crackles with a sumptuous, organic energy. Highly recommended." (Paul Pope, Eisner award winning artist and writer.)
"Sensuous art and luscious coloring. A visually unique book." (P. Craig Russell, Eisner award winning writer and artist.)
"Beautiful and haunting, Shame looks and feels like a dream." (Fangoria Magazine)
"Bolton's fully-painted art makes it feel like a comic book that escaped from the Renaissance, and the tragic narrative will keep you hooked." (Mike Donachie, Toronto Star)
