In the 1960s, Hippies began a revolution, rasied awareness, and greatly impacted global issues. Unfortunately these global issues remain and are a crucial threat to humanity. Given the state of our world, there is dire need for mass mobilization and change. Activists are being the change they want to see and fighting the good fight, as they pursue peace and social justice. They are following in the footsteps of 1960s Hippies.
This book examines 1960s Hippies, the peace movement they created, and how they have influenced current activists and their methods. Human rights, the environment, ware, poverty, and HIV/AIDS are explored and followed by take-action plans new and experienced activists alike can use in their pursuit of peace and social justice. This book encourages non-violent, peaceful, and proactive change.
