Introduction to Blogging

If you have always wanted to blog but do not know how to start, come join us! We will discuss the concept of "blogging" and its evolution, from 'diary-like' public space to branding tool. We will also explore major blogging platforms like Wordpress.com, Tumblr, Blogger and Posterous, which make blogs easy to create. Learn some of the myths about blogging and how to avoid major beginner mistakes. In this class, we will also discuss the anatomy of a blog post and the different types of posts. A short segment will be dedicated to domain registrations and costs.
What to bring? Laptop computer / tablet (with keyboard), notebook, pen.
