Art In the Style of Eric Carle
Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see?
I see young artists looking at me!
Eric Carle has illustrated over seventy books for children, including the best-selling classic The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Parents and young readers alike adore his playful illustrations and unique style. Carle’s work is easily recognized. He creates collages from brightly coloured, hand painted paper, often finding inspiration in the natural world.
In this class, students will learn essential drawing techniques in addition to exploring the possibilities of collage. While the focus of this class will be on developing their artistic skills, the students will have the option of creating their own books.
