Let's Draw! -- July 3, 4, 10 & 11
It's summertime and there is no better time to DRAW!
Sign up for our July workshop, consisting of four sessions over two weeks, to enhance your drawing skills and explore the fundamentals of pencil-to-paper creativity. Together we will delve into contour, shading, space, colour, and more, engaging collaboratively as well as independently. No experience is necessary and supplies are supplied--all you really need is an interest and enthusiasm for art!
This workshop is for kids aged 8-11. Workshop fee is $45.
Anything Goes Art -- August 7, 8, 14 & 15
The dog days of summer will be upon us---no better time to break all the rules and explore creativity without boundaries!
This four sessions over two weeks workshop will explore several mixed media techniques in a variety of solo projects, and wrap up with a collaborative mixed media mural project to be exhibited in the store throughout the fall. This is an all-inclusive workshop--all you have to bring is yourself!
This workshop is for kids aged 9-12. Workshop fee is $60.

Father-child Pirate Breakfast, Saturday June 9, 9:30 am in Prairie Ink Restaurant.
Bring your dad. Bring your grandpa. Dress like a pirate. Talk like a pirate (arrrrr!). Eat like a pirate. There will be Pirate Pancakes, stories and crafts, and you will meet the famous Captain J. Roger himself!
Tickets are $15.00 each and must be purchased in advance at Prairie Ink Restaurant.

The Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Association (CSFFA) named the nominees for the 2012 Prix Aurora Awards over the weekend. Toronto dark fantasy and horror house, ChiZine Publications showed up in a big way, landing four of the six nominations for Best Novel in English.
Of the contenders for Best Novel, , and Saskatoon's have all read from their nominated works at McNally Robinson.
Robert J. Sawyer will be back at McNally Robinson's Grant Park location for a reading and signing of his latest book, Triggers Saturday, April 21st. The previous two novels in Sawyer's WWW trilogy, Wake and Watch, each won the Prix Aurora for Best Novel.
, nominated last year in the Best Novel category, has a nod again this year for short fiction with her story "The Legend of Gluck". Join Marie at our Grant Park location Thursday, May 17th as she launches Destiny's Fall.
Manitoba contributors include Winnipeg's , and in the Graphic Novel category for The Imagination Manifesto Book 2. Anthology Tesseracts 15: A Case of Quite Curious Tales, nominated in the Best Related Work category, includes "Costumes" a story by Brandon's .
