Morning Calm: A Tell-All Tale of When Cultures Cross (Eloquent Books)

Morning Calm takes readers on a journey overseas to South Korea (“Land of the Morning Calm”) during a time of cultural turmoil. Lilly, a young English teacher from Canada, experiences emotional angst, love, and familial frustration in Korea while testing the limits of ancient societal traditions. Allyn M. Manuel teaches Business and Academic writing and English as an Additional Language (EAL). She draws on her experiences living and teaching in South Korea as the inspiration for her novel. She currently lives with her fiance and their daughter in Winnipeg.
