Calling all Saskatoon Photographers

McNally Robinson is running a contest for all local photographers. Submit a photograph celebrating the theme: Freedom to Read. Entries will be displayed in McNally Robinson at the end of Freedom to Read Week, February 25 - 27. During the display, the public will be asked to vote by secret ballot on the photo they think best expresses the theme and winners in the two categories (youth or adult) will receive a McNally Robinson gift card. Winning photos will also be published on the McNally Robinson website and will be submitted to the Book and Periodical Council for publication on the Freedom to Read website and in Freedom to Read 2010.

Photographs need to be submitted to the attention of Nicole Berard in an envelope with the title of the photograph as well as the photographer's name, and phone number on it.

Submissions from young photographers are encouraged, but for submissions in the youth category (under 18), the photographer's age and a parent's name should be included with the contact information.

There is no minimum size for photographs, but photographs should not be larger than 11 x 14.

Photographs should not be framed or matted.

Photographs need to be submitted by 8:00 pm on February 23.

Photographs must be appropriate for a general audience and McNally Robinson reserves the right to not display photographs unsuitable for a general audience.
