Mind, Heart, & Spirit follows on the pattern of Partners in Spirit, which surveyed almost 50 stories of long-time married couples. The book integrates stories from over fifty educators from around the world with the author's commentary and a survey of current educational theory. Informed by the teachings of the Bahá'í Faith, the book argues that teaching only for cognition while ignoring the affective and spiritual domains is short-sighted and anachronistic, and suggests several models whereby to re-instate "spirit" in education without the formality of religious orthodoxy.
