Glenn Hopfner -- Book Launch
Sunday Nov 04 2012 2:00 pm, Winnipeg, Grant Park in the Atrium
Launch of The Adventures of Marco Polo Bear.
This Glenn Hopfner’s fourth book, and second about Polar Bears. Hopfner worked as a guide/mechanic/entertainer, in Churchill, Manitoba. His first book was about what a typical tour on a Tundra Buggy is like and the geographical and human history of the region. That book is still selling well with over five thousand copies sold to date.
Hopfner became very passionate about the Polar Bears during his 13 seasons spent observing them. Now with all the politics and controversy about global warming and questions about their survival, he felt it was time to give the Polar Bears a voice. The Adventures of Marco Polo Bear is total fantasy based on facts and the author’s experiences with them. It is designed for all ages but recommended particularly for 12 years and over, and is intended to be a perfect gift for anyone. The book contains full colour illustrations by Hopfner’s daughter in law Laura Lee Harasym.
