Launch of State Organs: Transplant Abuse in China (Seraphim Editions).
The Chinese health and prison systems kill inmates, including prisoners of conscience, for organ transplants in the thousands each year - in violation of international professional, ethical and legal standards. This book brings together the work of those who have tried to spread awareness of organ transplant abuse in China. Referring to the international code of ethics, the authors discuss what needs to be done to end the killing of Chinese prisoners for their organs.
Co-editor and contributor David Matas is an international human rights lawyer based in Winnipeg. He is the co-author, with David Kilgour, of Bloody Harvest: The killing of Falun Gong for their organs. For their efforts in combating Chinese organ transplant abuse, the two Davids were nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2010.
