Jan Freihammer plays a variety of wooden recorders (tenor, alto, soprano and sopranino) and specializes in music of the baroque period. He also enjoys playing jazz and ragtime. He is also a pianist and continues to study piano, recorder and voice.
Kevin Scott is a multi-instrumentalist, having experience with piano, guitar, harpsichord, concertina, recorder, mandolin and dulcimer. Having worked with eveything from rock bands to string quartets, his interests range from early music to British folk to rock and classical music.
Jan and Kevin bring the refined and stately sound of the music of the baroque period to Prairie Ink, transporting the listener to a different age. This is music that works as well in the background as it does in the foreground, so feel free to sit, talk, eat and drink - or simply drift away on the music!
