Launch of From Asessippi to Zed Lake: A Guide to Manitoba's Provincial Parks (Great Plains Publications).

Tell people that Manitoba has over 80 provincial parks and the usual response is disbelief. This book offers a comprehensive look at all of the province’s provincial parks, blending historical information, first-hand experience and trivia into an indispensible and beautifully illustrated guide.

Author Shelley Penziwol is a researcher, writer and civil servant living in Winnipeg. Her first book, Storm Signals: A History of Weather in Manitoba, was published in 2004.

Peter Blahut is a Winnipeg-based self taught landscape and wildlife photographer. Since retiring from the Manitoba civil service in 2007, he spends most of his time devoted to photography and travel.
