Sasaktoon Writing Contest Winners

The Saskatoon winners of our Grade 5/6 "Laugh Out Loud" Writing Contest have been announced! This year's special judge was author Gordon Korman.

First place: Sophia de Guzman

Second place: Elijah James Stempien

Third place: Holden Knights

Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all of our participants! Winners will receive McNally Robinson gift cards, as well as a set of Gordon Korman books for their school library provided by Scholastic.

Join us as the authors read their chuckle-worthy stories at the Winner's Gala on April 30 at 7 pm.

Breast Friends Cookbook is a Gourmand Awards 2013 Winner!

Congratulations to the Breast Friends, whose Breast Wishes For the Men in Our Lives won a 2013 Gourmand Award in the category Charity/Fundraising Cookbook: North America.

This group of 10 women from Foam Lake, SK have raised nearly $1.4 million for cancer causes with their series of self-published cookbooks.

Les Recettes du Kiosque de Limonade by Katrine Paradis and Marie-Jose Morin (Canada) and The Microsoft Cookbook (USA) were the other winners in this category. The Gourmand Awards were handed out on February 23rd in Paris. Canadian chef Martin Picard's Au Pied de Cochon: Sugar Shack was honoured as Cookbook of the Year.

Candace Savage celebrates her Hilary Weston Writers' Trust Prize for Nonfiction

Candace Savage's family and friends filled Prairie Ink Restaurant Saskatoon this Wednesday evening to celebrate her recent win of the Hilary Weston Writers' Trust Prize for Nonfiction for her book A Geography of Blood: Unearthing Memory from a Prairie Landscape.

Congratulations, Candace, and thank you for sharing your evening with McNally Robinson!

Chef Justin on CTV Morning Live

Chef Justin O'Reilly joined Craig Wilson on CTV Morning Live this morning.

Justin prepared two dishes from Prairie Ink Saskatoon's new menu: Fig and Goat Cheese Salad with arugula and buttermilk dressing, and Mediterranean Pasta, a vegetarian entree with a roasted red pepper cream sauce. Delicious!
