The Bell children have been playing an extremely involved game of Knights of the Round Table since before their mother died. It's kept them close since but the eldest brother Sebastian, who fancies himself the titular perfect gentle knight Lancelot, begins to imerse himself in the fantasy in a way that the other children don't.
Told from the perspective of 11 year old Corrie, A Perfect Gentle Knight is more than a coming of age story- it's also a story of coping with death and an examination of teenage depression.
