
The 2008 PrairieFire / McNally Robinson Writing Contest

Three contests, $6,000 in cash prizes, and a chance to publish with the best!
Prairie Fire, Manitoba’s magazine of Canadian writing, consistently takes home one or more prizes from the annual Western Magazine Awards. This year Prairie Fire’s editor, Andris Taskans, was named the 2008 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award. McNally Robinson Booksellers is proud to be a sponsor of three contests:
- 1. The Bliss Carman Poetry Contest (1-3 poems per entry, maximum 150 lines).
Judge: - 2. The Short Fiction Contest (one story per entry,
maximum 15,000 words).
Judge: - 3. The Creative Non-Fiction Contest (one article per entry, maximum 5,000 words).
Judge:
First prize in each category is $1,250, second prize $500, and third prize $250.
The deadline is November 30, 2008.
