At the Wizard World Philidelphia convention it was revealed that , author of notable horror novels The Rising and City of the Dead, will be reimagining the obscure 70's character of the Devil-Slayer for Marvel Comics MAX line.
The Bram Stoker Award-winning author has long been a fan of the Devil-Slayer. He says he was drawn to the character's very human interactions with other costumed adventurers as well as with his wife and friends. Keene admits to also being fascinated by the character's dark side -- his alcoholism and depression, traits that are common in comics today but were much less prevalent when the character was first created.
MAX is Marvel's line of adult-themed comics.
