Hard Case Crime, best known for republishing old pulp and noir classics and new novels evoking that spirit, has found a lost crime novel, entitled The Dead Man's Brother, that has never seen print. This publication marks the first new Zelazny novel in fifteen years, and while it has no science fiction or fantasy elements, publisher Charles Ardai says "it's still Zelazny."
Anyone who has been in the science fiction/fantasy section at our Grant Park store has likely been steered towards by me at some point, and while it is impossible to really nail down my favourite author, when pressed, it is his name that I give.
Roger Zelazny is perhaps best known for his Chronicles of Amber series, which spanned ten novels. In addition to his many honours and accolades, he was a six time Hugo Award winner and three time Nebula winner. Zelazny died of cancer in 1995.
