The winners are as follows:

First Prize: Anna Blackmore, Winnipeg Mennonite Elementary School

Second Prize: Mira Refvik, Brock Corydon School

Third Prize: Mary Breau-Hinton, Ness Middle School

Honourable Mentions: Allison Kroeker, Ecole St. Avila,and Jonah Leigh Olsen, Ecole St. Avila

Award winning entries will be read aloud by the authors at an Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 21, 7:00pm at McNally Robinson Booksellers' Polo Park location, in the Events Alcove.

Thank you to all the writers who submitted their work. The entries were well-written and researched, poignant and painful, dramatic and entertaining, and a whole lot of fun for the judges to read and discuss! Keep on writing!
