ChiZine Publications: The New Canadian Source for Horror

by Chadwick Ginther - Sunday, May 25, 2008 at 5:14pm

ChiZine: Treatments of Light and Shade in Words, the horror magazine edited by Bram Stoker Award-winning Brett Alexander Savory, is starting up its own book imprint. ChiZine Publications will be dedicated to bringing its readers the same (as Brett puts it) "weird, subtle, surreal, disturbing dark fiction and fantasy" the magazine has been publishing for the past ten years.

ChiZine Publications will publish four titles per year, including novels and the odd short story collection. The fledgling horror publisher's first title will be Brent Hayward's Filaria.

Savory himself is the author of the well-reviewed In and Down, The Distance Travelled, and a short story collection called No Further Messages.

Sandra Kasturi will serve as ChiZine Publications' Senior Editor.
