I loved the first Diary of a Wimpy Kid installment and was equally entertained by this most recent edition Diary of a Wimpy Kid - Rodrick Rules.

Poor Greg Heffley, middle school attending middle child of middle class parents - his life is a series of missteps and misadventures that he describes in his journal (do not call it a "diary" like his Mom does),accompanied by the most hilarious line drawings. Greg's family and friends are convincingly realistic, from older rockstar wanna-be brother Rodrick who plays in the band Loded Diper, to his much younger brother Manny, darling of the family and perpetual thorn in Greg' s side. And don't even ask about sometime-best friend Rowley!

While it is nice to know that anyone can follow Greg Heffley's adventures online, I am glad that author Jeff Kinney brings his story to life in this comic book/novel fashion. This way if we need a laugh out loud moment in the car or on a bus or while waiting in the doctor's office, it is within easy reach!
