J.K. Rowling Doc: A Year in the Life
by Rhonda Greenaway - Wednesday Feb 06 2008 3:41 pm

Don't miss CBC Newsworld's airing of the BBC documentary A Year in the Life of J.K. Rowling on Sunday, February 10th at 8:00 p.m. ET. I caught its first airing on Feb. 4th and it's well worth a look.

In this remarkable film by James Runcie, Jo, as she's known to intimates, opens up about the writing process, her marriage and her life before and after fame and fortune. Runcie coaxes from her a vulnerable, endearing side not normally on view. Fans will love her emotional journey back to the flat where she finished the first Harry Potter book. I loved her most decided dislike of the more egregious aspects of the limelight.
