Body Drama is one book that many women will wish they had read while growing up.

As author Nancy Amanda Redd explains, "Body Drama closes the current gap in women's health education...providing practical and entertaining information, photographs, and anecdotes that describe how real bodies look and how they function - the good, the bad, as well as the ugly, the funky, and the admittedly gross."

This book answers important questions that girls may be afraid to ask, as well as providing a very frank and humorous discussion of everything else they need to know about their bodies. Perhaps most importantly, it discusses how media airbrushing distorts the images to which young women compare themselves and gives girls a chance to see how real women look.

This book is an excellent educational tool for girls entering adolescence or older. It does contain nudity, which some parents may deem inappropriate.
